Mum of six, Kate Ball initially started Mini First Aid in 2014 from her kitchen table in Leeds, offering high quality baby & child first aid classes to parents and carers. Demand grew and Kate saw the potential for growth, so she started franchising the business in 2015. In 2021, BBC Dragon’s Den star Sara Davies, also saw the huge potential in Mini First Aid and she came on board as an investor and adviser. Mini First Aid is now a multi-award-winning organisation and has almost 70 franchises nationwide.
Michele is the Mini First Aid Trainer for both the the West Leeds & Bradford region and the York region. Mum to Maisy and Freya! After being along side a friend who experienced her child having a seizure Michele realised just how important it was to learn the basic first aid skills.
Carly joins the team with over 20 years teaching experience within Further Education. Carly is currently part of the care team at a Children’s hospice whilst also delivering mini first aid classes. Carly believes it is a privilege and an honour to be able to share her first aid skills and knowledge with each attendee hoping to provide reassurance, confidence and the ability to deal with a situation should it ever arise.
As a qualified teacher and mother of three young children, I am thrilled to be delivering first aid training to school children, as part of the National Curriculum. These skills are simply vital and as soon as I met Michele and the Mini First Aid family I knew I had to be a part of such a progressive and passionate team!
Helen has worked as a Registered adult and Sick Children's nurse, and for over 20 years she was a community nurse for children with special needs and disabilities. Having 2 sons of her own, one of whom has a life threatening illness she is keen to share her knowledge of first aid with other parents and carers.
Nicky is a trainer with over 20 years teaching experience and has been an active First Aider since 1996. Nicky is a mum to one grown up son. She is now a proud Grandma to Tech Savy, almost teenage Ashley and too energetic, need eyes in the back of your head, toddler Caleb. Having been a manager of a Children’s Centre, Nicky believes every parent/grandparent and carer should equip themselves with First Aid Skills as experience has taught her that you never know what is around the corner.
Mini First Aid is expanding as our demand for classes continues to grow.
Mini First Aid are looking for dynamic confident individuals who would like to work with all ages and feel passionately about teaching first aid.
